 ThePost-Matic was targeted as an opportunity in our p lant. During busy summer
months, the finishing dep artment is often a bottle-neck. The team improved the POST-
M ATIC OEE by focusing the leading causes of p roductivity loss (Annualized
op erating p rofit of $139,000 in savings )
 Set-up / changeover imp rovement
 Unscheduled down time (UDT)  Run sp eeds
 5 S
 Used a 5s visual control kaizen event to:
 Imp roved the DOMINO FOLDER GLUER 650 organization, tooling
p lacement, and visuual controls, leading to safety and productivity
imp rovements. Achieved this by leading a cross functional team on the the
foundations of a 5S visual workplace and by teaching/training through structured
kaizen event p rocess (Annualized operating p rofit of $91,000 in savings) .
 DMAIC – 5S POST-MATIC 4115
 Facility in closing process needs equipment orderly transferred to receiving facility.
Responsible to prepare a visual system to orderly facilitate the receipt and installation
of equipment on receiving facility.
