relationships which includes assisting with selling, training and developing products to meets the needs of the client and
market. Products include: Ceiling Fans and light fixtures, bulbs, registers, pumps, bath hardware, cabinet hardware, mirror,
medicine cabinets, kitchen and bath cabinets, exterior steel doors, security and screen doors, screen mesh, luggage racks,
range elements, cleaning equiptment, GFCI, USB receptacles, wall switches, masking and painters tape, paint and sundries,
drip bowls and many more.
HD SUPPLY FACILITIES MAINTENANCE, San Diego, California  November 2002-June 2016
Merchant, Cabinets and Window Coverings  June 2011 - Present
Manage Cabinets and Window Coverings consisting of 3,000+ products. Responsible for managing vendor relationships
and products to meets annual financial goals. Annual sales: $160M
 Responsibilities include strategic planning, pricing strategies, competitive landscape, and customer segmentation
which lead to top line sales growth of more than $55M in 4.5 years.
 Conduct product reviews (RFP) to keep product mix fresh while achieving cost out. Average annual cost out of
$400K with a 2014 cost savings of $1.1M.
 Provide daily product and vendor support to national sales staff in multiple industries including multi-family,
government, healthcare and hospitality. This resulted in high-level corporate agreements allowing HDS to be the
approved nationwide supplier for cabinet and window coverings. This presents an estimated incremental revenue
of $15M
 Manage the largest import vendor category for the entire enterprise which includes FOB, FCA and DDP terms
 Work with suppliers to develop products to meet various requirements such as market trend, strategic needs, or
new innovation.
 Present to the Executive team category status and growth projections, program development, as well as CapEx
funding needed for enhancements.
 Oversee NPI and launch for in-house manufacturing. Current capabilities include custom cabinet doors, drawer
fronts and drawer boxes as well as assembly of cabinets, cutting down blinds, glass and mirror.
 Launch additional/new manufacturing capabilities to coincide with category growth needs. Slated for additional
network expansion in 2016 to include additional and upgraded machinery to provide speed to market and meet
exponential target growth.
 Own and manage all contracts for existing vendor base. This includes negotiating payment terms, Coop and
rebate, as well as pricing. This consists of both domestic and import suppliers for enterprise LOBs.
 Provide forecasting details to meet product launch timelines. Work closely with both Inventory Management ,
Marketing and DC Ops to hit key deadlines.
Associate Merchant, Hospitality OS&E  February 2011 - June 2011
Assisted in the management of the OS&E side of the Hospitality category that included 1,000 SKUs. Worked directly with
National Account Managers to meet product and contract deadlines for large hospitality flags like Best Western, Accor,
Wyndham, and Choice. Maintained a revolving list of brand specific products and monitored flag contracts to hit deadlines
and changes on product that occur throughout the year.
Associate Merchant, Hardware, Floor and Ceiling Tiles  March 2007 - March 2011
Assisted in the management of 1,200 products in Hardware and 300 products in Flooring categories. Main focus was to
grow the flooring and ceiling tile categories which included creating synergies between LOBs. Key highlight s include adding
Mohawk as a distributor of sheet goods and using our manufacturing capabilities as the fulfillment arm to create a vinyl
remnant program and distribute to the entire network. Worked directly with vendors such as: Kwikset, Schlage, Assa Abloy,
Mohawk, Congoleum, Swiff-Train, Shaw, Dal-tile, Interceramic, American Olean, QEP, Roberts, W.W. Henry, Taylor
Adhesives, Armstrong, Parkland Plastics, Mannington, Rubbermaid Wire, Closetmaid, and Norton.
