Introduction : This feature deals with the handover of CS calls from
2G to 3G cells Based on Radio conditions and received
energy parameters when 3G cells are added as
neighbors of 2G cell.
Role : - Implemented messages for handover procedures
according to 3GPP(44.018).
- Implemented State Machines and timers for
Inter system to Utran HO cmd.

2 Host Standby Feature
Introduction : The project is to develop BSC feature to provide 1:1
redundancy such that the matured and ongoing calls
will not be dropped when the active card goes down
and standby card takes over the responsibility for
active card.
Role : - Implementation and enhancement of software
as per customer requirement.
- Replicate the l2-l3 signalling information
- Support and Bug Fixing.
- Lab setup and Demonstration.

Duration : Mar 2014 to Dec 2014
3 Local Switching Feature (BSC-END)
Introduction : The project was to develop BSC feature to switch calls
locally when they lie in a BTS cluster Group. Voice
Packets will be directed to each other BTS rather than
DSP(MSC). Abis Path is optimized to carry only
signalling towards BSC/MSC rather than Voice Traffic.
Role : - GCR context is Implemented in order to
maintain LCLS data .
- Implemented new RSL message
MODE_MODIFY_REQ between Abis interface to
synchronize with BTS.
- Handled critical issues, enhancements
requirements involved in L2/L3 testing.

4 External Cell-Broadcast Tcp-Ip Interface
Introduction : This feature is to implement a Cell Broadcast Interface
between BSC and CBC/OMC is a TCP/IP based Interface
as per 3gpp specification,BSC acts as a client and try
connecting with CBC (Server).
Role : - Implemented tcp-ip interface between bsc and
cbs using 3gpp document.
- L3 message flow between BSC and CBS,
- Prepare and send Response to CB Server and bsc
for different SMS broadcast related scenarios.
Environment : Host System: Linux
Target System: PowerPC
