In 2005 I founded an IT services business with the written mission of becoming “the preferred provider of
IT services and support to small and mid-sized business in and around Polk County, FL.”
Created business from the ground up. Services include planning, design, procurement,
installation and support of local area networks for small and mid-sized businesses.
Managed several IT projects involving network architecture, hardware deployments, GPS
mapping solutions and wireless technology.
Technically proficient with Microsoft Windows Server (2003, 2008, SBS 2011, 2012) and
workstation (XP, Vista, 7, 8.1) operating systems, Exchange 2003/2007/2010, Symantec Backup
Exec, Crashplan data backup software, GFI Max Remote Management, Mail Essentials online
spam filtering, TCP/IP Networks, VPN technology, LAN/WAN design/installation/support,
Remote desktop, SQL Server, Various remote access tools.
Merged in 2008 with Acuerent Technology, LLC, a SAAS (“software as a service”) provider
specializing in the development and hosting of an ERP web-based application utilized by federal
crop insurance providers.
Spearheaded a Managed Network Services division, while also developing new business for both
the SAAS and MNS divisions.
Within two years, Acuerent Technology had grown from three employees to eleven, and
experienced a revenue growth of over 800%.
Responsible for four direct reports, team building (hiring/firing), internal operations as well as
business development.
Negotiated GSA contract and interfaced with government buyers as well as other government
contractors.
2. Interfaced with CIOs, CFOs and CEOs of large insurance and reinsurance companies in regard to
business development, client relationship management and contract negotiation.
Negotiated the sale of Acuerent Technology to its largest software customer, an insurance
company.
During the four post-acquisition years I continued to own and operate the IT services business,
which I then sold in 2015.
