Work Experience
Software Analyst – Consultant (site: Northrop Grumman, Lord Baltimore, Woodlawn, Md. for Social Security,
subcontracting under K-Force Inc., Baltimore, Maryland)
June 2016 –October 7, 2016
Identified auxiliary interface (AIF) commands / calls that interface CICS IDMS applications in online and batch
networks. Social Security’s MCS claims system accessed the IDMS files through IDMS DECS that supported
various views of data from single and multiple Bachman files within an IDMS database. Analyzed a network of
255 CICS Cobol applications generating a total of 527 access paths to the data. The analysis included the
identification of the various sub schemas’ keys, data requests for views, buffers, file structures, and file
authorizations. Attention was specifically attended to AIF calls, structures, and the way the calls were
implemented within the MCS applications. We also identified the various IDMS addressing points within the
applications. The analysis identification was for the future conversion of MCS from IDMS to DB2 database
queries within their batch and online claims systems.
IT Specialist – Consultant (site: General Dynamics, Towson, Md for CMS, contracting under Insight Global,
Pratt Street, Baltimore, Maryland)

reduce contention with their online systems and web interfaces. Utilized CA File_Aid / RDX to extract IDMS
VSAM flat file data extracts, scrub privacy data, reformat data types, and load relational indexed db2 tables using
DDL table definitions. Used File Aid data repositories to set up restore and baseline data objects for application
development and testing. Modified and tested batch COBOL and CICS applications for table locking resolutions
and performance in parallel with online systems and other batch update applications.
