Consultant supporting GXS’s secure global network services trading grid. Established history in
working with GEIS/GXS, dating back to the 1980’s with GE Information Systems as a Network
Designer/Programmer, pioneering GEDI, a multi protocol switch, that historically evolved into
being the core component of the GE legacy EDI business.
Other roles at GEIS/GXS included Network Architect, Data Center Manager, and B2B EDI
Services specialist. Latest contract was as a senior member of a 5 person team responsible for
network and systems. Migrated legacy EDI customers to a Unix-based GXS trading grid,
simplifying exchange and management of electronic data for 1,000’s of global trading partners.
Merged completely different IT environments into one communication system allowing GXS to
reduce support costs, effectively manage information, improve business efficiency, and
implement new interfaces faster, thus shortening payment cycles and enhancing customer
service. This paved the way to increased capacity and an agility to quickly implement and deliver
new and improved products and services.
EDI requirement gathering and analysis, AI basic and advanced map development, customer
testing and deployment. Formats include: ANSI X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, EANCOM), and
other proprietary formats> SAP RosettaNet, IDocs) and XML.
2. Technical contributions included successful planning and execution of a HW consolidation and
SW upgrade.
Provided SMP/E installs of IBM and third party (CA) program products, such as Connect Direct,
and TPX.
Team leader in the migration of 10 LPAR’s from Z/OS 1.7 to 1.9, and most recently to 1.11.

routing technology. Implemented financial switching EDI to enhance a legacy system allowing
secure WEB based access to VISA. Integrated e-business payment processing into VISA’s
strategic E- business.This new network capacity allowed VISA to securely and reliably process
$60 million payments per hour, equivalent to $1 trillion per year, all VISA credit and debit cards,
as well as other electronic payments such as payment via mobile phones, PDA’s, and smart
cards. Insured PCI compliance and met the reporting requirements of Sarbanes Oaxley logging,
audit file access and account management.
