The Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha was constructed in the 12th century and underwent repairs from 1992-1993. The repairs were done by the Archaeological Survey of India and Odisha government due to damage caused by rusting iron clamps and stone deterioration from water seepage. The repairs focused on removing the thick lime plaster covering to repair cracks and replace missing architectural elements, while ensuring any new treatments were compatible with the original stone and allowed trapped moisture to escape.
