The respiratory system includes the lungs, heart, larynx, ribs, and air sacs. It takes in oxygen through the nose and mouth, down the trachea and into the lungs. In the lungs, oxygen diffuses into the bloodstream via alveoli to supply the body with oxygen.

It then travels into the pharynx, passes through the larynx, and down the trachea. The trachea branch and air reaches the lungs where it will diffuse into the blood via the alveoli.
