2. ALLEGRA
 An antihistamine with the generic name
fexofenadine
 Used to treat the symptoms of seasonal allergies-
runny nose, sneezing, itchy/watery eyes
 Also used to relieve symptoms of urticaria
 Works as an antagonist to the H1 recepeptor,
blocking the effects of histamine
 Dosage: 60-180 mg daily in tablet form.
Recommended for 12 years and older.
 Does not cross blood-brain barrier
 Effective from 1-24 hours after ingestion. Maximum
effectiveness after 6 hours.

4. FLONASE
 Generic name is fluticasone
 A corticosteroid used to reduce inflammation and
swelling
 Most common route is inhalation to treat hay fever,
asthma and eosinophilic esophagitis. Can be found
as a topical cream to treat eczema and psoriasis.
 Common side effects are headache, throat
infection, nasal irritation, sneezing, cough, nausea,
vomiting, and nosebleeds

 Generic name albuterol
 A bronchodilator. Relaxes and opens the passages
to the lungs. B2-adrenergic receptor agonist. Short
acting.
 Used to prevent and treat wheezing, difficulty
breathing caused by lung diseases such as asthma
and copd.
 Comes as a tablet, a syrup, and a suspension,
metered dose inhaler and nebulizer.
 The most common side effects are tremor, anxiety,
headache, muscle cramps, dry mouth and
palpitation.
