The SEC i-Register system developed in 2002 is no longer supported and cannot be updated due to obsolete technology. A new fee schedule was announced in Memorandum Circular No. 03 in March 2017, increasing name reservation fees from 40 to 100 pesos. Payments for corporate and partnership name reservations through UnionBank will no longer be accepted after June 8, 2015. Reservations must be confirmed in person within 4 days or the reservation will be forfeited to comply with the Corporation Code on preventing deceptively similar names. SEC i-Register provides an online system for name verification, reservation, and form filling without purchasing physical forms.
