BACKGROUND STUDY
• There is no generally accepted definition of e-
waste
• Unwanted, obsolete or unusable electronic
products such as computers, computer
peripherals, televisions,VCRs,DVD Players,
stereo equipment, hand cell phones are
commonly referred to as ‘electronic waste’
Geographical Coverage: Bhubaneswar, Odhisha
OBJECTIVE
• To understand the effectiveness of e-waste
management as part of CSR initiative for few
selected companies
• To understand the level of awareness among
customers to support the cause
RESEARCH QUESTION
• What are the various technology & measures
deployed by the companies at company level
• What are the initiatives adopted to motivate
the staff to support the cause
• What are the various public awareness
campaigns organized by the companies
• What are the customers view point on old
electronic products

in Bhubaneswar)

CONCLUSION
• E-waste is a green initiative taken by the
companies.
• It is a hazardous component as it release toxic

BACKGROUND STUDY • There is no generally accepted definition of e- waste • Unwanted, obsolete or unusable electronic products such as computers, computer peripherals, televisions,VCRs,DVD Players, stereo equipment, hand cell phones are commonly referred to as ‘electronic waste’ Geographical Coverage: Bhubaneswar, Odhisha
  • 3. OBJECTIVE • To understand the effectiveness of e-waste management as part of CSR initiative for few selected companies • To understand the level of awareness among customers to support the cause

RESEARCH QUESTION • What are the various technology & measures deployed by the companies at company level • What are the initiatives adopted to motivate the staff to support the cause • What are the various public awareness campaigns organized by the companies • What are the customers view point on old electronic products
