from rock and roll. As music genre is very broad
and often including urban, dance, rock, Latin
and country. There are many bands who come
under this genre are: The Beatles, Backstreet
Boys, One Direction. There are many singers
who are related to this genre are: Elvis Presley,
Elton John, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars,
Beyonce and many more. I have selected this
genre because of my interest towards this and
mainly I love Michael Jackson because his
music made the whole world love him.

5. Pop rock is a sub genre of pop music, it has the
catchy pop style with light lyrics. Its originated in
the 1960’s in UK and USA. The typical
instruments used in this are electric guitar, bass
guitar, drums. The artists which made this genre
famous are: Elton John, Paul McCartney, The
Everly Brothers, Rod Stewart, Chicago and
Peter Frampton. There are some songs which
are of this genre: Diamonds (Rihanna), Love
Never Felt so Good(Justin Timberlake), Bang
Bang (will.i.am), much more.

sad but this doesn’t limit the genre here.
Nowadays this genre has become very wide
and its with very new variations. The lyrics
and the music is mainly to pump the
listeners.

depends on the song, they are not all the
time sad or pumping but they are different.
Mostly the upbeat music is taken as pumping
music.

8. Mise en Scene includes the things which makes
the video or picture more realistic. The mise en
scene of the video depends on the lyrics but
mostly the clothing in the videos is of dark
colors and lighting is also low-key lighting which
make it more sad and depressing. There is no
such make-up used according to my research.
There is no specific location used and the facial
expressions are usually sad and sorry which
makes this more of a depressing genre.

9. The camera shots are widely used in the
videos of this genre, which include close-ups,
wide shot and extreme close up, mainly
of the artists e.g. If the artist is smoking then
close-up on the smoke coming out from
his/her mouth. If there is any scar then it
would focus the scar.

10. Every music gives you feel e.g. soft music
relaxes you, sad music makes you sad and
rock music pumps you. This genre is also
the same as rock because this pumps you
and forces you to do something with a
extreme force.
