FOR IN A UNIVERSITY
COURSE ?
I am interested in doing a media course that centres around
production as that is more my interests rather than the journalism
side of things. I would also like a job in the media industry that uses
more technical skills so I would like to do a course that would help
improve and develop my skills.

After researching on the government website and imputing my
details about where I will be living while at university and how much
income my household makes and when I would be starting university
they gave me a estimate of how much I would get. They estimated
that I could get £9,250 to may for my tuition for each year. They also
estimated that I would get £8,171 for my maintenance loan this
would contribute to my living costs for example food travel and
accommodation.

5. NORTHUMBRI
A UNIVERSITY
The course that I have applied for at Northumbria
university is film and media with foundation year
this course is a foundation course, so it is 4 years
long after the foundation year I will be able to
progress onto a 3-year degree. To be able to qualify
for this I need 80 UCAS points. In this course I
would learn lots of skills that would help me
progress in the media industry. Northumbria
university is in Newcastle city Centre so there is
lots of different travel options for example bus,
train and metro.
6. SUNDERLAND
UNIVERSITY
The course I have applied for at Sunderland
is film and media with integrated foundation
year to qualify for this course I need 40 UCAS
points. In this I will learn skills such as
problem solving, critical thinking, analysis,
and I will also be using my practical skills
such as using cameras. Sunderland
university is located in the Sunderland city
centre and has different transports options
such as bus and metro.
7. TEESSIDE
UNIVERSITY
The course I have applied for at
Teesside is film and television
production to qualify for this course
I need between 96-112 UCAS
points. Doing this course, I will learn
skills such as technical skills ,
critical analysis. Teesside is in
Middlesbrough and has transport
options like train and bus.

NORTHERN
SCHOOL OF
ART The course I have applied for at the
northern school of art is film, tv and
theater. For this course I will need 96-
112 UCAS points. I will learn skills such
as producing directing, cinematography,
script writing, postproduction and sound
and lighting. The northern school of art is
in Hartlepool and has good transport
options such as bus and train.
9. NEWCASTLE
UNIVERSITY
The course I have chose to apply for at
Newcastle university is film and media this
course would provide me with an education in
nonfiction film making and different aspects of
the media and cultural industries. For this
course I would need 128-148 UCAS points.
Newcastle university is in Newcastle city center
and has lots of available public transport such
as metro, train and bus.
