From doing our research we found out that the most common thing people
expected the plot to be in a thriller was a murder to take place. In our Opening
sequence we will use this idea to show a body on the floor but not let the
audience know if they are still alive or dead and place the attacker nearby to
make the audience feel curious and make them wonder what has happened.

When asked what people expected to see within the opening sequence of a thriller
the most common thing that people said was to see the main characters followed by
the murder of someone. Because of this information we will include a glimpse of some
of the main characters in our opening sequence so that the audience know who they
are. Also we will put a body on the floor to get the audience to guess whether
someone has been badly hurt or killed.

From this question we learnt that the most common area people expected from a thriller
was a dirty old building. For our opening sequence we will try and find a building that has
these two elements so that the audience are not met with something completely different
to what they actually expect.

The most common things people expect from a thriller is the murder and the victim
followed by police who will be the people quite often who save the victim in the film.
Because of this we will mainly include the victim in ours along with the murder.

music to keep the feeling as if their on the edge, because of this we will
have music that is quite tense and fast paced so tat it feels as if something

Thrillers are seen to make people feel mainly nervous and curious as shown in the
results from above so because of this we want to have ours able to keep the audience on
the edge so that they don’t know what to expect and also curious when it comes to
them wondering who the attacker is and why he has attacked his victim in our opening
sequence.
7. Our Conclusion?
• In conclusion it is clear to us the majority of
the audience would expect a thriller to make
them feel quite nervous and edgy when
watching this film genre. Because of the
information we have found out from people
our thriller will contain the elements that have
been seen to create tension and also make
them curious of what has actually happened
to get a response form them.
