The present experiment s aim was to test how well children and adults can use body
maps to show where another person was touched. This experiment was also used to
highlight how using body maps as an interview technique could produce some
inaccuracy and may not be a reliable way of getting information. In this experiment
a video was shown to both a group of adults between the ages of 18 23 years old
and a group of children between 5 6 years old with a man who was helping to dress
a little girl named Antonia as a pirate. Both groups of participants were then asked to
record where they saw Antonia get touched in the video on a body map. The
variables measured were the groups mean number of correct touches reported and a
mean accuracy score. The hypothesis for the experiment was that adults would score
higher on the number of correct touches and have a bigger accuracy score than the
children. This experiment supported the hypothesis, as the results were conclusive
showing adults had both a higher number of correct touches and accuracy score.

In a sense our essence will not change. Just as there are disagreeable people we
meet in life, there will be disagreeable Spirits we will encounter. Some people
believe all ghosts to be evil. This is not so. Just because a person does, not for
whatever reason, go on after death does not make them evil or mean they are here to
do harm. In theory, ghosts are the remnants of what was once a human being.
Someone, who at one time, had substance on this earth. They are everything that we,
as living creatures, are but without the vehicle we call the human body. They exhibit

makes up the human psyche. Acknowledging the existence of ghosts or spirits
leads one to ask why they are here. Here are several answers. One reason is that the
spirit does not realize, or refuses to believe, that it has died. This can often be the
case, but not always. If one suffers a sudden or unexpected death, in disbelief, they
may not pass on to whatever destination. Denial or unawareness may be the key to
someone remaining behind. They will continue to go about their daily lives as

The leniency in sentencing can be shown by examining a few larger publicized
cases of white collar crime. One of the most iconic examples of white collar crime
is Jordan Belfort. Belfort started a business in the 80 s called Stratton Oakmont that
was a Long Island penny stock boiler room he ran. However, Belfort s business was
not making its money legally. It turns out that they laundered money and manipulated
stock prices. In 2003, Belfort pled guilty to money laundering and securities fraud.
The government has claimed that he defrauded people out of more than $200
million. However, he only received a four year sentence, of which he served 22
months. For the amount of damage that Belfort inflicted, it seems unjust that he
received such a short sentence. Belfort stole $200 million from people, yet, he only
spent about a month in jail for every $10 million he stole. Public perception would
interpret his sentencing as indicative of a problem with leniency in white collar
crime sentencing. However, there were extenuating circumstances. Jordan Belfort
made a plea bargain with the FBI. Plea bargains are agreements between defendants
and prosecutors where defendants agree to plead guilty to some or all of the charges

As a part of the Hartt Community Division, I am currently participating in a variety
of different ensembles. These include Harmony Winds, a chamber group, and
Concert Choir. Due to this, my family has to pay for three different groups, while
simultaneously paying for the other extra curricular activities that my sister and I
take part in. If I were to receive this scholarship, It would greatly help my family stay
within our budget.
My wish to be in chamber music is a result of my belief that it will help me learn
