• Where does egg cell and sperm cell
came from?
• Egg cell and sperm cell/reproductive cells
are also called as gametes. It is carried
by those person who reaches maturity.
• Sperm cell comes from the man’s testes.
• Egg cell comes from the woman’s ovary.

or grandparents’ traits were already passed on to you.
• Traits – observable characteristics that is passed on from parent to child. It
distinguishes you from the people.
– Ex: color of the hair (black hair common to Filipinos), curly black hair
(distinguishes from pother Filipinos).
• Heredity – passing on or receiving of certain traits or characteristics from
parent to child.
• Traits may be inherit:
– Skin color, size of nose, shape of face, color and shape of eyes, type of
hair, kind of body build, or height, smiles can be inherited, talents like
singing, drawing, or dancing, also bad traits such as diseases (heart
problems, diabetes, and asthma)
