This report summarizes a lighting and acoustic performance evaluation and design project conducted at The Annexe Gallery located in Central Market. A group of 5 students used lux meters and sound level meters to collect data on the natural and artificial lighting levels and acoustic conditions throughout the gallery over the course of a morning. They analyzed the data, identifying 3 zones within the gallery. The results showed variability in the lighting and acoustics across the space. Recommendations were made to improve the design to allow for better lighting and acoustic conditions. The project provided insight into evaluating and designing for lighting and acoustic performances in an interior space.
