  1. Products Used: Lotus Notes, Lotus Connections, Lotus Quickr, Lotus Sametime Background Ron is the marketing manager for Rennovations Chocolates and they are about to launch a new product in Asia. He receives an email from his supervisor, Gardner. The email contains three tasks. First, to locate some market information, add the information to the launch plan and then place the updated plan in the team library. The second task is to find a corroborating source to confirm a key assumption regarding the opportunity in Asia and the third is to find a speaker for a conference in China. Challenges 1. Ron is new to the company and does not know the SME's in the company. 2. He has limited time to complete the tasks in the email. He does not want to engage in phone tag or iterate on multiple rounds of emails to find people or answers. 3. Ron needs to locate people in other parts of the world. 4. The information that Ron locates needs to be shared with the broader team in an efficient manner. 5. Information must be confirmed by a wide group of people. Ron does not know how to access a community of experts.
