The prostate secretes fluid that nourishes and protects sperm.
For Men over 50, the most common prostate problem is PROSTATE ENLARGEMENT.
As a Man gets older, his prostate keeps growing causing compression of the Urethra leading to symptoms.
SYMPTOMS
A frequent and urgent need to urinate.
A weak stream of urine.
Incomplete emptying of your bladder. A small amount of urine each time you go.
Pain with urination or bloody urine.
Leaking or dribbling urine.
Trouble starting a urine stream. Even though you feel you have to rush to get to the bathroom, you find it hard to start urinating.
The feeling that you still have to go, even when you have just finished urinating.
CAUSES
Cause not completely understood
Reawakening of the urogenital sinus to proliferate
Change in hormonal milieu with alterations in the testosterone/estrogen balance
Induction of prostatic growth factors
Increased stem cells/decreased stromal cell death
DIAGNOSTIC STUDIES
Urine flow rate
Uroflowmetry to measure the pressure in the bladder as you urinate
Urine culture to check for infection
Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA)
Cystoscopy
USG to check prostate size
ADVANTAGES OF LASER PROSTATE SURGERY
Laser prostate surgery is a minimal invasive procedure to treat prostate.
No incision is required.
Minimal blood loss.
Requires only a short hospital stay.
Faster recovery period (7 days to 2 weeks).
Needs urinary catheter to be present less than 24 hours.

This presentation, created by Syed Faiz ul Hassan, explores the profound influence of media on public perception and behavior. It delves into the evolution of media from oral traditions to modern digital and social media platforms. Key topics include the role of media in information propagation, socialization, crisis awareness, globalization, and education. The presentation also examines media influence through agenda setting, propaganda, and manipulative techniques used by advertisers and marketers. Furthermore, it highlights the impact of surveillance enabled by media technologies on personal behavior and preferences. Through this comprehensive overview, the presentation aims to shed light on how media shapes collective consciousness and public opinion.
This presentation by Morris Kleiner (University of Minnesota), was made during the discussion “Competition and Regulation in Professions and Occupations” held at the Working Party No. 2 on Competition and Regulation on 10 June 2024. 0x01 - Newton's Third Law: Static vs. Dynamic AbusersOWASP Beja
f you offer a service on the web, odds are that someone will abuse it. Be it an API, a SaaS, a PaaS, or even a static website, someone somewhere will try to figure out a way to use it to their own needs. In this talk we'll compare measures that are effective against static attackers and how to battle a dynamic attacker who adapts to your counter-measures.

2. A kidney stone is a hard solid mass of
material that forms in the kidney from the
substances in the urine.
Kidney stones or calculi develop as a result of
various metabloic disorders which affect the
fate of calcium and other mineral elements in
the body.
Stones may be formed in the kidney, urinary
bladder,ureter and urethra
Introduction:-
3. A kidney stone, also known as a renal
calculus or nephrolith, is a solid piece of
material which is formed in the kidneys from
minerals in urine
Meaning:-
5. Unknown
Risk factor:-
Imbalance of pH in urine
◦ Alkalic:-Calcium stone
◦ Acidic:-Uric & cristine stone
Gout
Hyperparathyroidism
Etiology:-
6. There are mainly 5 types:-
1. Calcium oxalate stone (Is the most common 80% )
2. Calcium phosphate stone
3. Struvite stone (Triple stone)
4. Uric acid stone
5. Cystic stone
Type of renal stone:-
7. 1.Calcium oxalate stone (Is the most common 80% )-
Caused by super -saturation of urine with calcium & oxalate
Calcium oxalate stone tend to form in alkaline chemistry
( Avoid food high in oxalate(beer, wheat germ, spinach)
2. Calcium phosphate stone (5-10%):- Caused by
super -saturation of urine with calcium phasphate.
Calcium phosphpate stone tend to form in alkaline chemistry
(Avoid food high in calcium (Milk & dairy product)
3. Struvite stone (Triple phosphate stone):-
Caused by urea splitting bacteria (Proteus, Pseudomonas, Klebsiella,
Staphylococcus) –more common women then the man because of UTI
Struvite stone stone tend to form in alkaline chemistry
8. 4. Cystic stone (10-15%):- Caused by cystine crystal
formation
Cystic stone stone tend to form in Acidic urine
( cystine source Avoid meat milk ,cheese, Egg)
5. Uric acid stone (5-10%):-Caused by excessive
dietary purine or gout
Uric acid stone tend to form in Acidic urine
(Avoid purine sources eg. Meats, gravies, red wine)
10. Severe pain in the side and back, below the
ribs
Pain that spreads to the lower abdomen and
groin
Pain that comes in waves and fluctuates in
intensity
Pain on urination
Cloudy or foul-smelling urine
Nausea and vomiting
Fever and chills if an infection is present
Urinating small amounts of urine
Clinical manifestation:-
