OBJECTIVE 
The objective of our project is to drive LEDs 
of small power rating (3W/5W) with the 
help of LM 3405 ( LM3405A 1.6MHz, 1A 
constant current Buck Regulator LED driver) 
and provide dimming control with the help 
of pulse width modulation using IC 555 as 
astable monovibrator circuit providing 
varying duty cycle or by using PIC16F876A 
which is a 28- pin programmable 
microcontroller having a dedicated pin for 
PWM .
