REALIZED I DID
LEARN A LOT!
THREE TAKEAWAYS:
1.PUT THE NEEDS OF OTHERS AHEAD OF YOUR OWN (EMPHATIZE).
2.THERE CAN BE A LOT OF THREADS UNDER ONE SIMPLE IDEA. JUST WRITE IT ALL DOWN. (IDEATE)
3. LEARNING DOESN’T STOP AT COLLEGE LEVEL. It was very encouraging to see a lot, even older people,
in the class. Very humbling and inspiring!
IN MY CONTEXT:
Problem Statement: Our Sunday School teachers also need to embrace design thinking because it will make our
weekly lessons, even special events, more meaningful and enjoyable to our kids.
Ideate: 1. Share to them what I learned here in class
2. Use the process in our planning session this Sunday, and in our regular meetings soon
3. Invest on supplies for prototyping kids special events
4. Impress a mindset of empathy. With our kids on top of our mind.
5. Encourage creativity always. Thinking out of the box
Prototype/Test:
A lifesize image of a child with big words describing who they are (mind, emotions, and skills).
It will serve as a constant reminder of making our every event fit to their level.
