Our second project required critical
thinking and a written proposal…
Fast Fix Proposal:
* Step 1: Find a household item that requires a
simple repair
* Step 2: Evaluate item to determine whether it’s an
easy fix, or too complex for the time given
* Step 3: Write a proposal to iFixit using an outline
and examples provided using the learned styles of
writing.
MA2
7. 7
As this was our biggest project, we
really wanted to put in the effort to
make it awesome!
Fast Fix Repair Guide
* K-Gro Power Pro walk-behind
mower motor drive cable
* Using Google Slides we were able
to coordinate and collaborate to put
the step by step guide together and
test it before putting it online
MA3
8. 8
Our project was awesome! So to
showcase our hard work, we made a
digital poster…
**This was a feature of PowerPoint that I personally had
never heard of, nor used before and it is a program I
could see myself using in the future.
* Following the guidelines and examples given, we
created a poster and presented it in front of a live
audience
MA3 & MA4
10. 10
The final week of the semester we
revamped our resumes…
RTFPlain Text
* Using a template
given, I transferred
the info from my
current resume to a
less professional look
to evaluate it’s plain
text form
Letter
* Following guidelines
and example letters, I
wrote a mock
professional letter to a
real company
applying for a listed
job in my field of
study
Visual Resume
** Again this is a feature
of PowerPoint I’d never
used!
* Using templates
given I constructed a
visual resume
showcasing my
awesomeness!

All things must end…
To conclude, I must say that this has been one of the
more interesting courses I’ve taken in college! I am a
writer, and enjoy writing during my free time. It is an
escape and something I’ve always been good at.
However, this is a style and system of writing that I’d
never really been introduced to before. I can honestly
say that all of the learning outcomes were met
throughout ENGL 2311. Thank you for a great summer
term! I will carry the knowledge that I’ve learned into my
career.
