This document summarizes the key objectives and outcomes of an English 2311 course. It discusses 6 main course objectives: 1) analyzing audience, purpose and context; 2) understanding different document types; 3) writing effective technical prose; 4) balancing focal points, color schemes, fonts and sizing in documents; 5) identifying team roles for technical writing projects; and 6) learning new tools and technologies. The student feels they achieved the first objective but are unsure about grasping effective technical writing. They learned the importance of audience and how easy it is to make assumptions.
