This solution would be marketed to schools to help reduce waste and create environmentally conscious citizens. The product offers hands-on recycling education through a simple interface with audiovisual feedback and offline voice control of the self-regulating trash can, at a more affordable price than competitors. The target market is the education sector, focusing on schools seeking quality recycling education resources.

- 2. Description of Business Idea I aim to create a revolutionary recycling solution designed not only to manage waste efficiently but also to engage and educate children about recycling. My product consists of an AI classification-based mobile application that relays its message with advanced audiovisual signals, speech recognition tech and a connectable self-regulating intelligent trash-can. This solution will be marketed and licensed to the public and private sector of the education system.
- 3. Problem The status quo of top-down recycling education has proven to be ineffective in addressing the failure of reaching societal waste management goals. Technological products are also financially inaccessible and not geared towards education. With a technological solution to this problem, schools will not only reduce current waste but also create a new generation of environmentally conscious citizens.

Solution Using a simple, interactive UI and audiovisual instant feedback system to handhold children along the recycling process, my application offers a breath of fresh air amongst brain and sanity draining “earth day” worksheets. My self-regulating companion trash can also offer offline voice control, application connectivity and overflow detection at a scalable price around 1/3 of my leading competitor.
- 5. Market My target market is the education sector – targeting urban youth education facilities. This market holds major untapped potential with minimal competitors and high demand from schools lacking quality resources for waste education. My product is the first of its kind and can maintain an advantage over competitors due to its affordability, interactivity and concentration of advanced technology.
