Have you ever felt a melody go in one ear and out the other? Like there was nothing concrete to grasp to help you remember? You create a great melody in your head or while humming along to a chord progression, but within a moment it’s gone.
Thankfully, not all is lost. In fact, hundreds of years ago, a system was developed to enable musicians to recognize and transcribe those sought-after melodies.
Solfege (a.k.a. solfa) provides a framework for melodies by establishing recognizable relationships between pitches, and training your ear to hear patterns. It is an excellent system for learning the architecture behind music, and is a fundamental concept of ear training.
Hey, I'm back with another slide I made using PowerPoint that is educational. This time I created 15 slides based on music theory! So, it contains everything you need to know for Grade 1 music theory and what will pop up in the exams. Moreover, it's great for people who are starting to learn how to read and write music. Follow to wait and see more of my music theory slides written by me.~ Suzan G

Within this SlideShare, I've filled it with extra music theory as it's packed with music elements that are so key to understand. I've written another educational PowerPoint to help me and others with studying music. I hope it's as useful as my other music theory slides! Make sure to comment what you think and what else you'd like for me to make in the future. Thank you.

416. STEAM Education and The Uncommon Core
This presentation will focus on the integration of STEAM educational principles into core subjects. Although our school offers a very successful Exploratory STEM class, I believe the true strength of this educational model is in its' potential to incorporate relevant project based learning and bring the Common Core Curriculum to life for every student.

Following an introduction, ensure the pronunciation of each initial sound is correct. Use the exercises and begin to learn the phonic sounds of each letter to enable you to read, write, speak and listen better!
This was a presentation I created for a program at Pasadena Public Library to teach kids about how sound recordings were invented and the history of recording, as well as inspire them and guide them in making their own "gramophone."

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Clean your Recorder!
6. The recorder is an old instrument, which
used to be made of wood. It was first
named a “recorder” in the thirteenth
century, though it became most popular
in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
Later, it was replaced by the flute, which
was louder and had more notes. Now,
recorders, mostly made of plastic, are
more popular than ever! They are made
to resemble the recorders from the
Baroque period hundreds of years ago.
