Confidential Letter of Recommendation for Satvika Khera
This is with reference to the application submitted by Satvika Khera to the Masters
program of your esteemed University. I have known Satvika through her 3 months at
Atma. She worked as a volunteer in the Marketing anJ Communications department.
Her key responsibilities included meeting portfolio organizations, understanding their
issues, building communication strategies and creating marketing material for current
and future stakeholders.
I vividly remember her strong communication skills as well as her ability to build
innovative marketing strategies. She took painstaking effort to create tools to facilitate
the portfolio organization. She successfully completed a project on teacher training
tools for NGOs based on the Teach for America model that was utilized to facilitate
teacher training for portfolio organizations.
She was well-versed with social media marketing strategies and created and executed
the same for the Aashansh Foundation, Learning Lab & OSCAR. She effectively
managed their Tvitter, Webpage and Facebook content. These activities enabled her to
have a great understanding of social needs and the measures that organizations in
India are taking to bridge the gap between a portfolio NGO's vision to its final
. execution by building capacity, networking and mobilizing resources. What was also
clearly enhanced was her comfort of working in teams especially in the larger context
of creating social change. With the OSCAR Foundation, she often went on site visits to
meet students at the foundation as well as to deliver OSCAR's vision, need.s and
mission to Funders at conclaves to enable OSCAR to expand their impact and
coverage.
In conclusion, I would like to state that Satvika is an extremely adaptive, determined.
and hard-working young lady. I have no doubt that she will bring her unique ener5/,
optimism and passion to your University. I strongly recommend. her for admission and
I have'complete faith that she shall continue to do exceedingly well as she did here at
Atma.
