To
Whom
It
May
Concern,
Recommendation
Letter
for
Mandy
Piong
Mei
Ting
I
had
the
pleasure
of
working
with
Mandy
when
she
joined
my
team
at
AirAsia
Foundation
as
our
intern.
AirAsia
Foundation
is
the
philanthropic
arm
of
the
AirAsia
Group,
mandated
to
support
growth
of
social
enterprises
in
ASEAN
through
grant-‐
giving
and
business
mentorship.
Mandy
was
selected
from
a
large
number
of
candidates
based
on
her
clear
expression
of
interest
in
AirAsia
Foundation’s
work
during
her
interview.
She
proved
to
be
every
bit
as
promising
as
her
application.
In
the
11
weeks
that
she
spent
with
us,
she
became
very
much
a
part
of
the
team.
She
worked
with
me
directly
and
with
her
immediate
supervisor,
the
Foundation’s
Projects
Executive,
and
we
both
found
her
bright
and
cheerful.
She
demonstrated
a
keen
attitude
to
learning
and
was
confident
and
pleasant
when
approaching
colleagues
in
other
departments.
She
was,
therefore,
entrusted
to
work
quite
independently
throughout
her
internship
period.
Mandy
was
assigned
a
wide
variety
of
tasks.
Her
main
responsibility
was
in
managing
AirAsia
Foundation’s
social
media
account
and
she
did
this
with
diligence,
organisation
and
circumspection.
On
her
own
initiative,
she
prepared
weekly
social
media
plans
and
presented
these
to
her
supervisor
and
to
me
on
a
regular
basis.
It
was
evident
that
she
put
in
a
good
deal
of
effort
into
her
work
as
she
was
able
to
clearly
articulate
her
ideas,
make
suggestions
and
justify
her
recommendations.
I
was
especially
pleased
that
she
received
feedback
well,
was
quick
to
adapt
and
was
not
intimidated
by
unfamiliar
subjects.
She
often
asked
thoughtful
questions
and
participated
intelligently
in
discussions.
Mandy
was
also
involved
in
AirAsia
Foundation’s
social
enterprise
mentorship
and
student
engagement
programmes.
Tapping
on
her
social
media
knowledge,
Mandy
helped
develop
content
and
co-‐delivered
a
social
media
workshop
for
deaf
bakers
from
the
Silent
Teddies
Bakery,
a
social
enterprise
ran
by
the
Kuala
Lumpur
Community
Service
Centre
for
the
Deaf
(CSCD).
The
workshop
was
a
first
step
to
helping
the
bakers
communicate
their
endeavours.
Mandy’s
enthusiasm
and
patience
in
conducting
the
workshop
made
a
strong
impression
based
on
positive
feedback
that
I
received
from
the
CSCD.
She
was
also
a
valuable
addition
to
the
team
in
conducting
AirAsia
Foundation’s
Social
Enterprise
Workshops
in
universities
as
she
was
able
to
engage
students
effectively
from
her
perspective
as
peer.
I
have
no
hesitation
in
writing
this
recommendation
for
Mandy
as
she
performed
well
beyond
my
expectations.
As
a
mark
of
her
excellence,
she
laid
out
the
Foundation’s
social
media
schedule
months
ahead
and
developed
a
useful
guide
for
future
interns
to
pick
up
from
where
she
finished.
She
will
definitely
be
an
asset
to
any
organisation
seeking
talented,
young
potential.
Sincerely,
Yap
