- 3. READING Reading is the process of looking at a series of written symbols and getting meaning from them. When we read, we used our eyes to receive the certain symbols and our brain to convert them into words, sentences and paragraph that communicate something to Us. Teaching Reading means train a beginners to associate printed words with spoken words. Teaching Young learners is a way to introduce English as a foreign language to young students.

Useful Technique to teach reading - Read in a small groups - Read slowly - Correct Intonation Reading a story from a book Flash Cards Nursery Rhyme Reading text based on students mother tongue - Use a cards written name of things - Ask the student to spell and read the symbol and words Singing a song with the lyrics. Point out the lyrics so the students read the words slowly.
- 7. Engage your child in a print-rich environment In time you can model sounding out the letters to make words. Focus on the first letter in words. Create daily opportunities to build your child's reading skills by creating a print-rich environment at home.
