Aims of the Programme
• To prepare and inspire young people from hard to reach
populations
• To address gaps in provision in Liverpool City Region and
Greater Manchester (based on Free School Meals/Cold Spot
Data)
• To address the issue of STEM related subjects being dropped
at an early age
• Increase knowledge of STEM subjects and the Careers they
relate to

5. Reach for The Future
Objectives
• To increase the quality and number of contacts between KS3
pupils and STEM employers/employees
• To increase the number of workplace experiences
• To develop resilience and personal effectiveness
• To increase academic attainment by supporting pupils to consider
pathways and set goals
• To increase knowledge of the Growth Sectors (particularly STEM
related)
• To use employer volunteers to deliver inspirational activities in
order to help young people consider a broader range of options
