This document contains practice problems on ratios and proportions involving student-faculty ratios, basketball field goal percentages, and creating your own ratio problem. An example calculates the student-faculty ratio of a small college with 1,342 students and 215 faculty as 6.24. Another example calculates the field goal percentage of Shaquille O'Neal in the 2000-2001 season as 57.1%. A student then creates a ratio problem involving a high school with 630 students and 25 faculty members.

Using Continuous Improvement tools, such as mission statements, plus/deltas, and the Plan, Do, Study, Act cycle, you can engage and empower students to "get in the driver's seat" and take charge of their own learning. This presentation equips you with tools that will help improve learning results and student accountability, as well as nurture a learning environment that thrives on continuous improvement.
Helping managers and supervisors have more effective performance related discussions with employees. The role of the coach. Includes scenarios to practice the skills learned in the training.
1:1 101 Workshop with Michael Zirkel, Berry CollegeBonner Foundation
Presented at the 2018 Bonner Fall Directors Meeting by Michael Zirkel, Berry College. Who meets with the Bonner student? What's the script? When in the semester/year? Where does it all happen? How is the 1:1 scheduled? The why, however, is universal: be-cause we care. At Berry, each student within the Bonner Program will meet with a member
of the Bonner staff at least once per semester (in addition to other members of the Berry and Rome community). This workshop aims to highlight the 1:1 sessions that have shown success at Berry College within the Bonner Scholars Program, while sharing the opportunity for collaboration with other institutions on what has worked (or even what hasn't).

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

5. Reflection
• What did you like about this assignment?
• What could be improved with this
assignment?
• How do you see a blog being useful in
Geometry?
• What other tools/resources/projects would
you like to do this year?
6. What did you like about this
assignment?
• What I liked about this assignment was that its
was pretty self direct and it was fun to make
your own problem.
7. What could be improved with this
assignment?
• There could be more example to help you
understand more and it could just explain
more.
8. How do you see a blog being useful in
Geometry?
• I don’t see the point of talking about
geometry in a blog when some people sont
find it interesting or feel like doing any of the
work the teacher gives us so I don’t really see
a blog useful in the Geometry class.
9. What other tools/resources/projects
would you like to do this year?
• I would like to actually use Geometry in real
life situation so I can actually see what I'm
going to use this geometry in life.
