professional teams of all white players, but then Robinson comes in the picture.

Music media has drastically changed over time due to technology and cultural
shifts. Although it s not common for people to use old forms of media today, some
people still prefer to use products such as vinyl records over modern forms of

Hmong families, like the Lees in the novel The Spirit Catches You and You Fall
Down have been immigrating to the United States since the end of the Vietnam
War. The majority of the Hmong living in the U.S. are now located in specific
cities and regions of California, Minnesota, and Wisconsin (Lee and Green 2010).
The Lee family moved to the Merced, California in 1980 and has had to adapt to life
in a new host country (Fadiman 1997). Acculturation is used to describe how the
cultureof immigrants changes over time as they adapt to living in a new country

barriers for mothers; logistical, social, and political.

Being in love is like an amalgamation of different yet powerful emotions exploding
every second. It tends to heighten ones perception, hence, perceiving the world
through a larger lens. It can cause a deep sense of grief at times but it can also
make one feel a certain kind of content. The very exclusive one where the abundance
of joy cannot be defined. Valentine by Carol Ann Duffy explores the many sides to
love. The entire poem is an extended metaphor that criticizes the stereotypical idea
of love. Duffy uses an onion, a very unusual object as a symbol to represent a gift for
one s admirer. The poet reveals the positive aspects of the speaker s attitude to love
