7. Ramadan – which start on April 13. 2021
During the month,
•everyone must avoid family gatherings and food exchanges with people who are
not members of the same household,
•the Ministry of Health and Prevention said.
•“For the health & safety of society,
•we advise all to avoid evening gatherings during Ramadan,
•limit family visits, & avoid distributing & exchanging meals between homes &
families.
•Only members of the same family living in the same house can share meals,
•” the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA)
said.
8. Dubai has issued Covid-19 precautionary measures for the Holy Month of
Ramadan. According to the Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management:
Hosting large social gatherings should be avoided, especially to prevent the elderly and
people with chronic diseases to the risks of Covid-19
Ramadan tents as well as Iftar and donation tents are prohibited
Taraweeh prayers can be performed in mosques in Dubai on the condition that
precautionary measures are strictly observed.
The maximum duration of prayers (Taraweeh and Isha) will be capped at 30 minutes
The Committee further noted that a decision regarding the Qiyam-ul-layl prayer
performed during the last 10 days of Ramadan will be announced later, based on an
evaluation of the situation.
The measures are aligned with the guidelines announced by the National Emergency
Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA).

13. 10 Ways to Stay Fit and Healthy During Ramadan
1. Never skip 'Suhour.
2. Aim to eat at least 7 servings of fruit and vegetables every day.
3. Try to cut down on sugary and processed foods
4. Break your fast slowly and don't overindulge.
5. Make soups a regular item on your Iftar meals.
6. Stay hydrated.
7. Avoid caffeinated drinks.
8. Avoid deep frying.
9. Avoid working outside in mid-day during fasting hours

Avoid exposure to direct heat
•Start the day with well hydrated for Suhoor with your snack, eat fruits,
vegetables & drink plenty of water or unsweetened juice.
•Limit salt/sodium intake inducing crackers, chips, pretzels (NAMKIN),
salted nuts & popcorns etc
•Take regular breaks when engaged with physical activity on warm days
•Report any signs to your Supervisors
15. Awareness for Non-Fasters
•Don’t smoke , eating /Chewing tobacco at open areas during fasting hours
•Don’t eat or drink in public areas during fasting hours
•Don’t joke or discuss with fasting people it may change to fighting during empty
stomach.
• It's strictly forbidden to drink alcohol in public in U.A.E., especially during
Ramadan it may result in a fine or even arrest.
•In public places, behave and dress in a conservative manner to respect the
religious observances followed during Ramadan.
•Women are advised to dress modestly (clothing that is too tight or too revealing
is considered inappropriate)
16. Awareness for Non-Fasters
•Please be a little flexible.
•If you have a friend or a colleague who is fasting, please understand if you see
they are low on energy.
•Fasting for a whole day is not easy.
•Even if you eat and hydrate yourself at night and early morning, the body will
soon run out of energy during the day.
•Never discuss/ argument in any matter with fasting people
•Will respect the Ramadan and will not eat in open areas
