- 1. The intro song gives a very upbeat feeling It starts off as an average life in America A fast of fast speaking in first scene Beware of swearing Charlie has a short fuse attitude The music gives the overall setting a funky vibe feeling Charlie is one for putting up a fight whenever he wants Charlie doesn’t really feelanything when his father dies At the funeral, he still feels nothing He believes he did nothing right for his father, he believes he deserves his property. When his father’s will is ready out, he tries to understand and question, who is the new bearer of the fortune. He feels determined to find the bearer He find out that Raymond is his brother, and that he has autism that makes him communicate difficult. He continues to talk without stop until a certain point and that he is described as a Savant. Charlie is understandably winded about Raymond’s inherit. Raymond’s way of life revolves around correct calculations, mathematics and also, loud noise such as cars scare him. All Raymond says is persistent and quick sharp words in response He observes the world him carefully and makes noises such as humming He talks about time schedules and when events are His comfort spans are books He moves things around to make things comfortable Charlie feels persistent at doing things his way, but he should care what Raymond wants too. Charlie wants to use Raymond to gain the fortune. Raymond rocks when he is in his own world. Raymond has a terrific memory He feels he needs stuff or else he is not happy or goes in a panic Charlie does not really get the hang of Raymond’s condition When the toothpicks fall onto the ground, Raymond can count all the toothpicks with a second. He is scared of planes due to the aircraft in the sky and the noise effecting his conscience.
- 2. When Raymond is pushed to do something he doesn’t want to do, he screams at the top of his lungs. Loud noises affect Ray’s movements and proves him into a meltdown. Whenever he has a meltdown, he say ‘uh oh’. Charlie feels that Ray’s autism causes issues for him. Raymond is also good at drawing He is specific about moments when they are in time He draws patterns to keep him satisfied When he wants to have fun, he takes the wheel and nearly steers them off road. Charlie doesn’t respect him He loses his patience with Raymond He tries to find a doctor for Raymond to talk to. When Raymond goes missing, he has another meltdown because he doesn’t know what to do and he covers his ears. Not everyone understands his condition He has a world of his own When he is tested, he can answer questions to a T He doesn’t think he is autistic Raymond gets claustrophobic with a phone box When he watches certain entertainment, he takes down notes Raymond is the rain man as prophesied in Charlie’s childhood Raymond can sing He has a meltdown because he is scared of baths and hot water He has a good knowledge go history When he is tested with cards, he knows Charlie has He has an obsession of cheese balls and apple juice The ending is personal and sad, and Charlie finally understands Raymond
