Postcolonial in Black Skin and White MaskSagar Ladhva
Is an intellectual direction that exists since around the middle of the 20th century.
It developed from and mainly refers to the time after colonialism.
The post-colonial direction was created as colonial countries became independent.
A theory on and lens for life after foreign rule.
Here you will find; Postcolonialism by Frantz Fanon. Concept of self and other. Sense of inadequacy and inferiority. National literature and national culture. Stages of nationnal culture.
The psychological implications of colonialism on both the colonizer and the colonized were examined in his key writings, The Wretched of the Earth (1961) and Black Skin, White Masks (1967). Through representation and discourse, the native, according to Fanon, develops a sense of "self" as defined by the "colonial master," but the colonizer does the opposite and feels superior. As a result, Fanon creates a psychoanalytical theory of postcolonialism in which he contends that the European "Self"...
The common thread throughout these examples and the premise for this paper is the following. Slavery, Jim Crow, The Trail of Tears, the Holocaust, the internment of Japanese citizens during World War 11, and the current administrations desired prohibitions regarding Muslims, the fixation with a wall at the southern border, and now separating children from their families all stem from a tragic lack of belief in and respect for the humanity of “The Other.” When one group thinks itself better than another, tragedy happens. The fear of other races and ethnicities comingling feeds such thinking. Another theme is a very strong desire to retain what many believe is the one true culture, not to be mixed with language, religion, or traditions from other cultures. There is hope , though, and it comes from what for some may be a surprising source.
The report was submitted for the course "Sociology" at IIIT-Delhi in collaboration with Shubham Singhal and Deepanker Agarwal under the guidance of Dr. Duru Arun Kumar.
The report explains racism, its causes, its effect and people's attitude towards racism.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

The Art Pastor's Guide to Sabbath | Steve ThomasonSteve Thomason
What is the purpose of the Sabbath Law in the Torah. It is interesting to compare how the context of the law shifts from Exodus to Deuteronomy. Who gets to rest, and why?
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

2. Definition of racism
Racism In Fanon’s Easy “Black
skin white mask”
Racism in India
RACISM
3. Racism is the belief in the superiority of one race
over another, which often results
in discrimination and prejudice towards people
based on their race or ethnicity.
Racism is an ugly word that has been around as
long as humankind itself. Racism actually can be
broken down into two distinct definitions: on the
one hand it simply means that groups of people are
defined by their inherent differences (skin color,
culture, appearance) and that, because of these
differences, one group is seen to be better than the
other.
The second definition of racism is the unfair
treatment of others based solely on these
differences. Throughout history, humankind has
treated others with contempt and committed
atrocities upon them just because of the color of
their skin or the culture from which they come.
WHAT IS RACISM
4. Fanon takes some different examples from
different literary texts and experience and some
real experience for analyzing the psyche of
human nature.
It is written in Eight chapter
1) The Black man and Language.
2) The Woman of color and the ‘Whiteman’
3) The man of color and the white woman.
4) The so-called Dependency Complex of the
Colonized
5) The Lived Experience of the Black Skin.
6) The Black man and the Psychopathology.
7) The Black Man and Recognition.
8) Way of Conclusion.
