I woke up to tweet on Saturday morning referencing something negative about Selborne College, East London's "prestigious" all-boys school which I attended from 1992 to 1996. I immediately went to reading about the poster controversy where a matric pupil used as inspiration Sam Nzima's iconic image of Mbuyisa Makhubo carrying a dead or dying Hector Pieterson during the Soweto uprising of 1976 for an artwork he hoped would reflect the matric class's grief at leaving high school. Pieterson's sister Antoinette is running beside them in that picture in case you ever wondered who the lady in the pic was.

The simplified electron and muon model, Oscillating Spacetime: The Foundation...RitikBhardwaj56
Discover the Simplified Electron and Muon Model: A New Wave-Based Approach to Understanding Particles delves into a groundbreaking theory that presents electrons and muons as rotating soliton waves within oscillating spacetime. Geared towards students, researchers, and science buffs, this book breaks down complex ideas into simple explanations. It covers topics such as electron waves, temporal dynamics, and the implications of this model on particle physics. With clear illustrations and easy-to-follow explanations, readers will gain a new outlook on the universe's fundamental nature.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Race questions
1. Race Questions
1. My neighborhood was not at all racially diverse when I was younger. My mom and I
were the very few Hispanic people in our neighborhood, and also in our town. I
remember going to my elementary school and I was one of the three kids who was of
color in my grade. I remember being teased by the other kids because of my skin color.
However, when I turned 15 there was an increase in foreigners in our town. The reason
why is because the owner of the Greenbrier Resort, replaced the former employees
(who’s worked at the Greenbrier for years) with student foreigners from other countries
such as Puerto Rico, and Mexico.
2. My family always taught me that I shouldn’t let my race discourage me from what I
want to do in life. However, some teachers in my elementary school would discriminate
kids if they were of color. They would pick a child that was white over a child that was
black or hispanic when it came to rewarding a child. The very few friends I had in
elementary school would still make fun of me because of my skin color but I tried to not
let it get to me. I was afraid that I wasn’t going to have friends. In middle school, it got
better because there was more kids of color. In high school, people didn’t care about
what race you were because the school had such a diversity of students.
3. When I was younger, from the age 6 to 13, I would always want to be white because of
how much I got teased for not being white. The older I’ve gotten though, I appreciate
the race I am. I like being different from others. Even though I am going to be
challenged more in life, and I already have been chlanneged more compared to others, I
still wouldn’t change who I am.
