I got a 40% on my citizenship test because I lacked basic historical knowledge about important topics like the Supreme Court. Getting such a low grade showed that I was deficient in knowledge about the United States that every citizen should have. The average grade of 68% also indicates that most Americans do not fully understand their own country's history and systems of government, which is regrettable since that information is crucial for citizens of any nation.
