For The Workplace

Wanting your team of employees to work together in a healthy and
productive manor is something all staff leaders want. In order to make
this happen you are going to need to put forth an effort to make that
happen. You can do that by providing some quick team building
activities for the workplace. These activities will not take a huge
amount of time out of your work schedule, but can have some pretty
great results, when done right.

Not all companies have the funds or the need to go on week long
retreats or dedicate full days to team building, for some companies,
quick activities are better. Some great examples of quick and easy team
building activities are:

Coat of arms: Each group of 2 or 3 will be given the task of creating a
coat of arms. This will stand for everything that they believe, and want
to see happen within the group and the company. This can be done
within an hour or so, and each group can then explain what their own
coat of arms means to them. This is a quick and easy task that will bring
the work place together.

Ice Breakers: if you do not have the time for full on team building
activities, you can always do a few ice breakers. These are basic “learn
more about you” games. Games such as autograph bingo, know me,
know you, who done it and one thing about me. Are great ways to help
your employees get to know one another, and they way they think.

Lunch out: A quick lunch out as a staff team is something that works
surprisingly well. Bonding over food and conversation, is sometimes the

best way to bring a team together. This can be done each month, or
every week, depending on the budget and the need.

Birthdays: Although it may not seem like a big deal to celebrate
birthdays, it brings the staff together. Each birthday should be
acknowledged and celebrated. No body will feel left out this way. Each
person on staff can take turn buying the cake and other items, this way
the planning can be done as a team effort. Birthdays of the
management and staff should be celebrated together, in order to show
closeness and community.

All of these quick and easy ways to team build can make a huge
difference on your workplace. It has been proven that when a company
makes an effort to team build, and prove staff wellness, they see great
results. These results are: better productivity, fewer staff turnovers,
better staff communication and a greater sense of worth within the
workplace. For these reasons alone team building is important. Team
building will also give a greater love for work and a higher self esteem
level to the employees, making it beneficial for all involved. If you are
