The data helps the author determine their target audience is predominantly male interested in R&B and hip hop music. This data has helped me discover which sex my magazine should
predominantly aimed at, I have altered my target audience profile with
taking this information into consideration. As well as my target audience
being predominantly male, there are also many females who enjoy the
R&B genre of music so my magazine will not be completely male
orientated.

This data has helped to reassure me that the genre in which my magazine will
be orientated around is correct, also this has helped me alter my mission
statement accordingly as I now know that most people enjoy R&B and Hip
Hop/Rap; this has concluded in me deciding to add a subgenre to my music
magazine, it will now be related to Hip Hop and R&B.

This data has helped me decide how often I will distribute my magazine as I
initially decided to distribute it fortnightly however I believe the better option is to
distribute it monthly as most people buy a music magazine monthly. I have also
noticed that quite a few people do not buy music magazines at all and this has
made me want to put in other content that could intrigue these types of people on
my front cover such as competitions with prizes and other attention grabbing sell
lines.

Taking this data into account, I have found that the mean amount the average
person is willing to pay for a music magazine is between £2 and £3. Because I
will like to sell as many magazines as possible I have put the price of my
magazine in the lowest price bracket but at the higher end. This is because
some people will not pay for than £2 for a music magazine therefore to make
sure I sell as many magazines as possible I must make the price low enough in
order for these few to also buy my magazine and not have to make much of a
compromise. Taking all of this into consideration I have decided to price my
magazine at £2.20 as it is in the lower end of the mean price bracket.

Taking this data into account I will have to create a very intriguing main article as
that is predominantly what attracts most people to a music magazine. Also, the main
image is of high importance as along with the main article is what attracts the readers
of music magazines. Although these two items are the most important I will still have
fairly intriguing sell lines and a free gift/competition to attract the minority to ensure
I get the most amount of sales possible.

With this data I know that my target audience do not attend concerts regularly
therefore only a minor section of my magazine will be focused on concerts and
information about concerts. However, I will include free concert tickets as gifts
as in my focus group I have found that some people do not attend concerts
regularly due to costs and availability of tickets, also, some do not even know
how to find out about concerts so I will use a small section in my magazine
dedicated to concerts to provide help and information to my readers.

This data will alter the content of my magazine as I have found in my focus group
that most people who said that music features greatly in their life are the same people
who attend concerts, buy albums, buy music magazines, enter music related
competitions and want or are interested in a career in music.

Apart from the odd outliers people predominantly enjoy
mainstream female R&B artists such as Rihanna, Beyoncé and
Cassie therefore I will create sell lines containing these artists to
attract the majority. I will also involve the artists in the three
media texts that I will create in some way.
