 It is important to identify and chose the correct institution to create and distribute
a film because the audience may be drawn towards a certain production company
because they create a specific genre of film. This would lead to the film being
viewed to either become a big success or failure. A wider audience may be drawn
to my thriller production since most institutions are international and supply a
service that have an impeccable reputation in the industry.
 I would pick lionsgate to distribute my thriller film because they have released
similar films In the past. The films they have released have all been very
successful.
There are many examples of films they have distributed that are similar to the
thriller we have produced in one way or another, this adds to the reasoning behind
my group choosing to use lionsgate.
 Lionsgate are the creators of SAW. This shows that lionsgate are trustworthy
when selling a certain product to a specific audience. They know what the
audience may like an how to promote to large amounts of people.
 Saw is one of the most recognised thriller films of all time. With seven consecutive
films selling out each time they were released.
 There have also been things such as video games, websites, toys, comic book,
costumes & features in amusement parks due to the success of this film.
