Question 2:
  How does your media product
represent particular social groups?
Representation

• The main characters are teenagers. Frank is seen as playing the piano which suggest that he's
musical and quite motivated to achieve. Many teenagers could relate and at the same time
many would be the complete opposite.
The character
Frank was based on

character from
Trainspotting. He is

The Tweepers – Cheska and Sid
It may be a bit confusing who exactly The Tweepers are
but they are: Sid and Cheska.

Both these characters hold a few moments of camera
time in the 2 minutes so aren't really well established. I
did this to give a feeling of mystery and to get the
audience to ponder their relation to Frank. Originally
my idea loosely evolved from ‘The Dark Knight’
SID opening which introduced many unknown faces. I tried
to achieve this by giving about 1 seconds flash of this
                 dark character.

  CHESKA
Sid was loosely based on Frankenstein. In
the way that he dresses. Sid's coat is
clearly many sizes too big however I felt
this works well to give him the over sized
shoulders and aggressive look, like
Frankenstein, this immediately suggests
he's mysterious, stereotypically.

The dark colours are what the villain
usually wears. Using one tone shoes a
sinister appearance. The flash of this
character gives an anonymous identity.

Sid is also similarly dressed to
Commissioner James Gordon from the
Batman series – both in dark clothing.
Gordon has a gun and is seen as a
professional killer, as like Sid they have
similar characteristics as he's no stranger
to killing and keeping away from public
eye. Unlike Gordon though, his identity
remains questioned, whereas Gordon is
seen as a hero.
All the characters starring in The Tweepers are
different and hold different features in the
plot, Frank being an easy character to relate to, he
shows weakness, lives in the moment and it this
what leads him to the mess, classic stereotype of a
curious teen.

He alone is left to get himself out, its this where he
finds himself fighting against forces never felt by
man. The Tweepers are stereotypically strong and
threatening as there actions and apperence speak
for them – making them appear strong, in a
negative, villain light.
