2. For this question we will be focusing on how we
applied a synergy between the three elements;
our main product the music video and two
ancillary texts, the digipak and magazine advert.
3. Synergy
Synergy is the interaction or cooperation of two or
more organizations, substances, or other agents to
produce a combined effect greater than the sum of
their separate effects.
●In our music video, digipak and poster there is a●
theme of simply the performer, with our music
video being performance how we approached the
synergy was very simple and gave the 3 products a
good effect and the final pieces clearly showed that
they were all connected.
4. Performer
We tried to find the person most suitable to our genre to be our
performer. Being pop we wanted something more modern and
up to date. As you can see the performer is wearing similar
clothes throughout the video, digipak and advert, we wanted her
to look fashionable with the chocker, the low cut top and curly
hair we thought she fitted in very well. We also tried to feature
the country side to Taylor Swift by featuring a guitar in one of the
scenes of the video.
5. Inspiration for the digipak
We researched pop and country digipaks as that
is the genre of our artist. We thought the best
way to present our digipak was to have 4
different pictures of our artist on each side of
the digipak as this is what many pop genre
artists do.

• For our digipak we decided on having 4
different pictures of our artist on each side.
We thought this was a simple way of showing
the audience who the artist was and also a
creative way of linking it with our music video.
In the pictures we used for the digipak we
made her look quite fun and bubbly person.
7. Music Video
As the music video is performance we wanted it
to make her look as if she was having a good
time and enjoys the song she has written, we
did this by making her smile and dance.
To create a synergy with the music video and
ancillary texts we dressed the performer in same
clothes as the music video, as that’s what we
created first and needed it to show the clear
pattern that they were all linked.
