Whereas, in my second year the productions by themselves achieve what the brief asked of, however, as individual products I do not think they linked together as strongly as the previous tasks did. A areas which suffered with a stint of creativity were the design of the different productions as the research was more thorough they productions had more of a concrete framework which meant that I needed to follow the designs more closely. However, with the advertisement I found that I could be more experimental when it came down to the central image as it had to be something that would grab the attention of the viewer.. When applying this to the website and the listings page again, only the pictures could be creative as you need to make sure that the audience can relate to and be able to navigate easily.

However, with there being so many different variety of websites that offer the same thing being a TV website it was slightly harder choosing, but due to the similar content and target audience I decided to choose a hybrid of 4oD and Sky Atlantic. • A hybrid was my choice because; in order to make a new website I needed to make something relatable to the audience but also unique to making a new website. • The making of the website, listings page and advertisement were easy enough to make though when it comes to the technicalities of the productions, it becomes more time consuming, and this is the part that you need to take care with. Such as, creating the hyperlinked pages within the website, as this was something that I had never encountered before. The other area which took quite a while to layout were the small features that were included on website pages, theses are things which might have been missed subconsciously, as you would expect them to be there for a particular genre of website (TV channel): • The play buttons that are at the bottom left hand corner of the picture. • further information of season and series.
- 5. In my opinion the listings page and the website work better as a combination, rather than the advertisement. This would be because, the listings page and the website have similar features of the layout and text which can be easily seen through the comparison. As the pictures and text are of the same context they are relatable, though the advertisement is of the same context the layout is very different.
- 6. The main picture on the advertisement is repeated through the different productions; on the website as a picture and a video and as a picture on the listings page it all links together, so in theory it should all combine together well. The main reason which I think that advertisement does not link together with the website and the listings page is the change of the house style.
- 7. On the listings page and the website the house style is predominately blue and white, so there is a immediate visual connection to the two whereas, the advertisement is predominately grey and white, it is not a very opaque grey though with the black, grey and white together it follows a different house style. In my opinion, in order for the advertisement to join together with the other productions, it would need to align with a similar house style to the others of a black, a particular hue of blue and white.
