We chose to represent how mental health can effect the
youth as well as how different genders are portrayed
Mental Health
 Mental health is represented as a bad thing in our film

since it makes the protagonist seems out of control,
this is portrayed through the sound of ghostly voices
and through the use of mise-en-scene comparing the
two characters such as the white clothes and blue eyes;
this is also shown through the use eye-line match
shots.
Youth
 In our opening scene we represent the youth in a

demoralising way by showing this man living in an
abandoned building where he seems to have taken
over, this implies that he has most likely broken into
the area
Gender
 We do not go into detail about gender in our film but

by going against usual conventions of horror films we
flip the usual views of genders putting the woman in
the dominant position while the man is portrayed as
weak and scared, this is not done by any filming
conventions but is done by our characters and casting.
