SUB-GROUP
The sub-group that my magazine would represent is the indie sub-group, this
sub-group is usually associated with being “emo” , so being emotional or a
sensitive person , indie can also be interpreted as being an alternative to the
“mainstream” music or trends that come along , an example of this is during
the 80’s alternative rock started from an independent record labels that where
alternative to the synth based music that was being realsed at the time , this
was alternative to the mainstream music trend , the people who then liked
said music were in independent or “indie” fans.
MALE OR FEMALE?
At the start of the project of making my magazine in
the research process I first thought that the main gender that
would read my magazine would be male , as they are
normally the main intended target audience for indie music
magazines , but as I went deeper into my research I found
that while the main majority of this genres target
audience is male there is still a portion of the audience
that would be female so I would still have to appeal to them
in my magazine, in my magazine the images I have used
have featured females but I think a male audience would still
 buy the magazine .
ETHNICITY AND SOCIAL CLASS?
The main ethnicity group from my magazine would be the white
ethnic group, indie music there is a not a large proportion of
non-white performers and the audience it self represent this as
well so like the performers a large part of the readers would be
 white

The social class of my magazine would range from C1 all the
way up to A social class as the music genre my magazine is
based around is accessible and relatable to all three of the
social classes I listed and people from all three of these
backgrounds can relate to certain things within the gene itself
