3. Similarities
The magazines are similar in numerous ways, the
first way is that they both contain hearts as a logo;
this is because it appeals to the target audience.
Also the colours in both magazines are bright
because the target audience tends to be drawn to
bright colours which appeal to the younger
audiences. They both also have good sell lines,
which means that the audience would be gripped
and in turn buy the magazine to find out what the
full story is about.
Also the magazines are similar because they both
have more than one photograph, this is so the
audience will possibly see a model they recognise
and be intrigued to buy it just because they like a
certain model of artist.
The magazines are also different in numerous
ways, the first way is that the magazine that I
created was a lot less bunched together. This is
because I used less text and I also used a limited
amount of photos. I did this so the audience would
focus more on the key aspects, such as the key
cover lines and the main photos because they are
intriguing and they will easily draw in wider
audience.
Also in the magazine that I created I used brighter
colours and There is a lot more white that is visible
which immediately brightens up the front cover.
Differences
5. Similarities
Both of these contents pages have a variety of text
sizes and colours this is so the audience is able to
pick out key information. There is also pictures
included in both of the magazines, this is so the
audience is compelled to turn to certain pages.
Also this means that they will read the main and
most gripping story, then in the future they will
buy the magazine because they will know that it is
the best place to get information from.
They both also contain a variety of different
colours but they both use pink; this is because pink
is is the colour that is stereotypically associated
with the target audience of this magazine.
There are a variety of differences that can be seen
between both contents pages, the biggest difference
is that my contents page only contains one
photograph. I chose to only use one photograph
because it makes the audience focus on the text and
so they will look at all of the catchy headings. This is
different to the other magazine because they contain
a lot more photos, this makes the audience decide on
a page due to the photograph.
Another difference is that my magazine is a lot tidier.
Which means that the older target audience will find
it more appealing, and will possibly become a
permanent customer. It will also mage the younger
audience feel more mature and grown up, this is
appealing because all children want to be treated
older
Differences
7. Similarities
Both of these magazines contain a photograph of
the main model, who is displayed on the front
cover of each magazine. This is because if the
audience member isn’t picking the magazine up for
the brand, then they will be picking up for the
main cover line. And the main model tends to be
associated with this line, which is why they will be
the star of the double page spread.
Also there is a lot of text in this section which is
because they need to give all of the information
about the main cover line as possible, considering
it is the reason why people picked it up in the first
place.
There are a variety of differences within both of
the double page spreads, one of the main ones is
that my double page spread has a smoother look to
it, this is because I added a gradient and it fades
out making the page look smoother. Which is
appealing to the target audience; because they will
find it easier to read.
Also my magazine contains more text, this is
because the audience will be able to receive more
information which is appealing to the target
audience. This is because they will feel more
educated, the younger audiences will also feel
more mature.
