What is
Liquid?
Liquid
Liquid is an object that occupies space and
takes the shape of a container. It can be
poured and flow fast or slow.
What is
Liquid?
Liquids come in different colors, like black, red, and
yellow. Some liquids are colorless. They also vary in
taste. Some are sweet, sour, bitter, or salty. They have
good smell like perfume, syrup, shampoo, and fabric
conditioner, others have bad odor like fish sauce and
vinegar. Some liquids are odorless.
What is
Liquid?
Are solids
measureable?
Solid has its size. You can measure their
length and width using a ruler for small
objects, and a meter stick for longer
objects. It may have similar and different
sizes, such as tall, long, short, big, and
small.
Look at the following
What is ruler?
A ruler can be defined as a tool or device used to
measure length and draw straight lines.
A ruler is used to measure the length in both metric
and customary units.
The rulers are marked with standard distance in
centimeters in the top and inches in the bottom and
the intervals in the ruler are called hash marks.
A meter stick is a measuring tool that is
typically 1 meter (100 centimeters) in
length, used to measure length or
distance and marked with a scale useful
for precise measurements in centimeters
and millimeters.
What is a meter
stick?
Describe how these objects were classified.
Try this.
For Example:
For Example: The color of the ball is red.
The ball is small. Its shape is a circle. It is
rough when you touch it.
Activity
On your Science notebook, draw five
objects with different sizes and answer
the following questions.
1.What are the solids that you have drawn
on your notebook?
2.How are they similar to each other?
3.How do you compare and classify solids?
Assignment List down 5 objects found at home. Find the
exact measurement. Make a chart.
