By the end of the day you will havethe opportunity to reflect on which aspects of your department’s current practice
could be seen as exemplifying“quality geography”. Present and pastmembers of the Primary and Secondary
Geography Quality Mark moderation teams from the Geographical Association will bethere. There will beexamples
from insideand outsidethe classroom showcased.There will also bea look at the effective use of one of the most
important resources in a geography teacher’s toolkit: the well-chosen image.
The afternoon will be a chance to hear from the Geographical Association’s former Primary Curriculumleader on the
work of the Global Learning Programme and an introduction to a British Council ‘critical thinking’ course.
There will be time for networking and sharingresourceideas duringtheday in the inspiringsurroundingsof the Old
