Multi-Discipline Lead Mechanical Completions Engineer
Working closely with the SAT, FAT and all other testing teams to ensure the smooth
execution of the onshore Pre-Commissioning. Responsible for the collation of all
completion documentation, the clearance of punch items and any outstanding ICs before
the final inspection and handover of equipment or systems to the client (Lundin)
DUTIES
• Providing technical support to the project team and contractors.
• Responsible for the completion of all documentation - MCCLs, MCCRs, MCC, RFCC
• Main point of contact for liaising between the contractors and the client to ensure
correct installation of equipment and systems.
• Working closely with PREs & PRBs to offer the client technical expertise / solutions.
• Responsible for the final inspection and handover to the client.
• The organising and clearance of outstanding punch items.
• Preparing and analysing information for the purpose of management review.
• Overseeing the maintenance of equipment after completion.

Aker Kvaerner/ Kaefer - Kashagan Hook-up Project; 2011-2012
A Senior Engineering role within the structure, HVAC and Piping department where the main
responsibilities were to research, process and deliver insulation and coating job packs to the offshore
Hook-up facility, adhering to the standards set and agreed by the client.
Gateshead College 2008 - 2011
A Trainer Lecturer role within the Engineering department. My responsibilities included delivering both
practical and theoretical lessons in the areas of fabrication, welding, turning and fitting to a wide age
range of candidates.
Aker Kvaerner - Kashagan Project; 2007-2008
A Field Engineering role within the Quality Control department. Interfacing with both contract and client
design teams to solve all structural and piping problems efficiently. The role also involved maintaining
accurate documentation with update reports at a senior management level.
Aker Kvaerner/Kaefer 2006- 2007
A Consultant/Field Engineering role within the Quality Control department. Working with Statoil
inspectors on the Snohvit LNG plant in Norway to ensure all structural, piping and insulation problems
were resolved as efficiently as possible. This position also involved the setting up and maintaining of an
accurate documentation system. This was achieved with extensive use of the MIPS programme.
Hertel Services Ltd (Contractor) 2004 -2006
The fabrication and installation of structural components on the utilities and accommodation barges
destined for the Caspian Sea offshore project. This role also involved the testing and balancing of the
HVAC systems and associated piping.
B.A.E. Systems (Contractor) 2001 – 2004
The manufacture and installation of various applications onboard HMS Bulwark. Work was also carried
out on the vessel's sister ship HMS Albion.
Chieftain Fabrication Ltd 1998 – 2001
The manufacture, fitting and commissioning of air handling components. Responsible for the insulation
of various piping systems within the construction and offshore industries.
Symtol Engineering Ltd 1996 -1998
The fabrication and assembly of intricate systems for MOD and council contracts. This role also
involved a supervisory position responsible for project management and training.
Cape International (Contractor) 1995 – 1996
A supervisory role for the cryogenic insulation of an LNG plant within the Persian Gulf. This involved the
recruitment and training of multi-national personnel.
Cape Contracts 1992 – 1995
The design, fabrication and installation of HVAC ducting. This included the insulation of attached piping
systems within the construction and offshore industries. This role also involved the setting of
parameters for the in-house welding procedures
American Air Filters 1989 – 1992
The fabrication, assembly and testing of large industrial air filtration systems. This also included
maintenance work on various contracts throughout the UK.
Vickers North East Training Centre 1984-1989
Time served apprenticeship. General Engineering Studies: Lathe, CNC Milling, Fitting, Fabrication,
Assorted Welding Techniques and Drawing Office procedures. NVQ3 Included: Electrical Principles,
Mathematics for Engineering, Measuring Techniques and Health & Safety.
NB:-
With fifteen years as a member of Her Majesty's Royal Armed Forces (Reserve) where I reached the
rank of full corporal within a LAD section attached to a Tank regiment, I was dual traded as a class 1
Metal Smith and a class 2 Recovery Mechanic.
