This document summarizes the key features and capabilities of PuppetDB versions 1.0 and a probable upcoming version 1.1 or 2.0. PuppetDB 1.0 is an open-source data storage service that stores Puppet catalogs, facts, and replaces ActiveRecord. It focuses on performance and correctness using Clojure and PostgreSQL. Version 1.1 or 2.0 will include an improved query API, experimental storage of Puppet reports, and an exportable RESTful API for retrieving and analyzing data.
