This document summarizes the results of a survey about a pamphlet for Johnstown Lift, an organization that works to improve the Johnstown community. Based on responses from 50 surveys, the pictures and logo were most likely to catch readers' eyes. Most respondents had not heard of Johnstown Lift before. The majority said they would follow Johnstown Lift on social media and consider volunteering with the organization if interested in community issues. Suggestions to improve the pamphlet included reducing lengthy paragraphs, better explaining the grants page, and including more information on how to get involved.

Session Title: Yeah, THAT Hashtag (Beyond Social Media (WOM) Track)
Presenter: Geno Church
When the former Greenville Convention & Visitors Bureau approached Brains on Fire about creating a new identity for our hometown, they didn’t have to ask twice. This was far more than an identity project; it was an opportunity to foster a greater sense of community within our community. With 36 Greenvilles in the United States, we would need to identify that “something special” that really sets us apart.

The Facebook Experiment that could Make a PresidentDaylan Pearce
Facebook is the gatekeeper to the unique and structured data of over 1.4billion individuals. They hold the keys to the largest aggregated database of human data that the world has ever known.
With this data they run over 1000 experiments per day. From simple UX changes, to massive social engineering experiments.
This presentation discusses one of those experiments. One that was conducted late in 2012 on the day of the 2012 U.S. Presidential election.
This presentation discusses the tactics and the outcomes used to convince over 320,000 people to get off the couch and vote.
For anyone who;s interested in large scale data experiments, or even just what Facebook do with the stuff you like and post, then this presentation is for you.
I hope you enjoy, and thanks for viewing.
